Danger Love Ahead III

Yes! It was indeed a trilogy. A very incomplete one.
After writing DLA part II on Bebo in 2008, I put up a poll to see if anyone wanted a part III. There were a lot of positive feedback, favoring to make the series a trilogy and so I made part III.

I never finished it.

It received 982 profile views and 32 fans.

For bebo, the maximum number of chapters that a story could have was 25 chapters. DLA I and DLA II fell within the limit but DLA III was too long and I had to make another page to continue it.

I did do that, but I never finished it and I probably never will.

I don't know about a Goodreads rewrite though...that could be possible.

Danger Love Ahead II

Due to the demand for a sequel from my fans......

I'm sorry, I couldn't even keep a straight face typing that. Making myself feel special, that's all.

I continued April's sob story and made a sequel, and the sequel, I actually liked. The first chapter was posted on Bebo, in 2007. I started it up right after the bebo version of DLA was completed. This one was badly written and very unrealistic but was an improvement from DLA I. I was 15 when I wrote this.

The profile views stand on 1,280, 42 fans and an average of 5 stars rating. The blurb went something like this..oh and don't laugh!
This is the sequel to The nOVEL Danger! Love Ahead. April Summers decides to attend college in London while Brandon States had his hopes and dreams in Princeton *spelled correctly????*. April is heart broken about this and the two decide to end their relationship since 'Long distance relationships never work out'. April also makes a point in not telling Brandon which college she was attending in case he gives up on his dream college and follows her to London. But my isn't fate wicked.........What happens when they try (but fail) to forget each other??? What happens when April has an obsessed stalker after her?? Things get interesting when Brandon goes to London for a family reunion, dates a girl who just happened to be April's college room mate, reunites with his lost love and beat the crap out of her stalker....*pfft* we'll see.
P.S I'm not sure if there should be a happy ending. But since I'm a hopeless romantic...heckI can't help myself

:D  Everything was so informal and like I said, the writing was bad.

At that time, I loved writing this series but it was a different story when I rewrote the sequel for Goodreads.
I started in 2010 and finished it in 2012. I lost interest. My dislike for April had grown tenfold and how I came up with her in the first place is still a mystery that I'm not too keen on solving.
I took a longer time with this one, trying to redeem April in my eyes.

I couldn't.

Yet, I still can't help but like the sequel (re-written) version. Probably because I actually manage to finish it.

The blurb went something like:
This is the sequel to the novel "Danger! Love Ahead." April Summers decides to attend college in London while Brandon States had his hopes and dreams in Princeton. April is heart broken about this and the two decide to end their relationship. Everyone knows long distance relationships never work out. April's journey begins and things stir when she meets a strange handsome young man at college. My isn't fate wicked.........
What happens when April's past returns with a deadly thirst for vengeance?
Brandon seems to have moved on quickly to a new foreign girl who helps him arrange the States family reunion. Funny how she happens to be April's room mate.

Danger Love Ahead

I actually don't like the main protagonist; what was I thinking writing this?
Nothing. Too much soap operas.

I wrote this in 2007 on Bebo, under the authors application, just to try out my hand at online writing and how good I was with updating. The profile views still stands at 1497 views, 77 fans and an average rating of 4 and a half stars.

Again, I don't know what I was thinking. The reviews kept me going though, and at that time, I was proud of it. *facepalm*

The blurb read something like:

Me, Myself, and I
April Summers is a 15 year old teen trying to adapt to her life in the new neighbourhood. Living with only her mom and younger annoying brother, April is trying to fit in with the people in Graham Town. Brandon States is every girl's dream and every guy's envy in Graham high school. The cutest and popular guy in town, captain of the football team and class captain. Watch what happens when a seemingly gicky girl April arrives and turns his world upside down...or possibly right side up. The road will always have ditches and potholes but hope is still there when the road sign tells us what lies ahead..love

The main character was in no way a reflection of me but I used most of some of my characteristics to help me write her and to make things less difficult. For example, I used my religion because I was well versed with it and it was easier to make "April", catholic.A preview of Chapter one, bebo version.

New life

I stood just outside the classroom door nervously glancing up and down the school hallway. Graham High was way bigger than my school and the fashion tastes were terribly strange. I glanced down at my pull up socks, pleated blue skirt, pink sweater and white sneakers that i was wearing. Terribly strange. My hair was tightly bunned just like I was expected from my old school back in London. These students wore jeans and strapless tops or thin strap tops. Mom would probably die of heart seizure if she saw me in any of that. Mom.... why did she have to get a new job? I mean she came to Graham to become a pre-school teacher. She was a lawyer back in New York while I was attending an all girl's boarding school in England.I mean, I wasn't complaining. It was really cool, we always had to wear decent clothes (the nuns were sooo strick)and uniforms. We hardly went out..only for field trips but that was the way I liked it. Kenny, my younger brother starts pre-school this year but before that he was always dropped off at the day care centre. But mom wanted more time with her children, so she brought us all back together and sends me to this..this...(if u can call it a school). You see I'm a conservative person, I believe in god, in true love and that 'wait till you're ready' phrase. Oh and I can't swear. Yep, you heard right, I can't swear. So anyway, back to the story. I tensed when I heard the teacher from inside the classroom say my name.
"She's from London and it's her first time in a co-ed school. Come on in, April." I heard the teacher say. I stepped into the classroom hesitantly and looked at the curious faces staring back at me. There were stifling laughs and very rude comments but I ignored them.
"Why don't you sit beside Kira over there, hmm," the teacher pointed to an empty seat beside a blonde girl who was blowing bubble gums. I made my way uncomfortably but let out a scream as I tripped over someone's foot.
"Oops, did I do that?" Kira said tauntingly and the class burst out into laughter.

In 2009, I revised it on goodreads, and even though it is still a little puke worthy, it's an improvement. The story changed a little and so did the writing, thankfully. 381 people liked it, with an approximate of 73 comments and top 80s of the most popular creative writing of all time and #82 for the month.
An excerpt:
Chapter 5: Something about her eyes
(Brandon's version)
I was rushing through the school hall cursing slightly at myself. I had overslept last night and now I was late to school, I really shouldn't have let Dave drag me off to watch that gruesome flick. And who said only girls enjoyed a night out? I stopped half way to my classroom when I caught a glimpse of April, the new girl sitting on the floor. I flinched slightly at her hands which were purple and bruised. Who the hell did that to her? I thought.
"Are you alright?"I asked, I cursed at myself for making her jump slightly. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." I bent down beside her and picked up her books and her bag since I doubted she could pick them up with those hands.
"I'm..I'm..fine,"she stuttered.
"Sure you look fine,"I muttered but almost kicked myself when she glanced at me tearily. She obviously heard me. "You don't look fine, let me take you to the nurse,"I offered.
"N..n..no, you...you're...al..already late,"she stuttered weakly.
"At least now I have a good reason,"I waved off her weak protest. Wearing her backpack on one shoulder, one arm balancing her books I wound my other arm around her waist to help her up. I almost dropped her books when she glanced at me, her blue-green eyes met mine. There was something so familiar about her eyes. I could tell she was going through pain right now. Her once neat hair was a little disarrayed. Her eyes were welling with tears but she bravely held them at bay. The nurse was a very kind looking woman. Blonde hair, hazel eyes and so much make-up that she resembled Dave's sister's Chinese dolls. All she needed to do was paint her face white. I waited outside until April was treated. She emerged looking somewhat exhausted, with a bandage wrapped around her hand. The nurse followed her out informing me that April had 4 broken fingers on her right hand which was caused by books falling on them. I didn't believe that and neither did the nurse who was glaring at me accusingly.
"Is that what she told you?"I asked.
"Yes,"she replied bluntly. "But I don't buy it," she whispered.
"Neither do I,"I returned in the same tone. I turned to where April had been only to find she had already gone. Along with her books and bag which I stupidly left outside the first aid room. "She left a note," the nurse pointed at the folded paper I hadn't noticed before tucked between the spaces in the wooden bench. I unfolded the paper to find the word THANK YOU, neatly written on it. "She's left handed," I thought. "How else would she have written this?" She broke most of her fingers on her right." I shook my head, I had better get back to class before Mr.Peters bites my head off.But I couldn't shake the feeling that I had seen those eyes before... somewhere else. But Where?
