Love Twice

With a display picture icon that said, "Don't Give Up", I started up a page for a writing project called "Love Twice" and posted up one chapter.
One chapter and no other.
I never thought or looked back to this story, so I was surprised to find it again and to see that my writing wasn't so bad then.
The one chapter itself wasn't even complete, and it's a pity too, so I decided that it wouldn't hurt to post it here.

He sat near the water front staring up at what was left of Bridge Thirus. The creepers had engulfed the rotten metal of the once grand bridge. The wooden floorboards of the bridge was either rotten or loosely hanging with one edge still nailed against the iron railings while most of the floorboards of the bridge was no longer there. The bridge was no longer used, it was just a piece of the scenery, just there to hold up the bougainvillea for the tourists to admire. The creek under it was probably the main feature. It's water surface sparkling as the sun rays hit it and the children splashing happily around the shallow areas of the creek. The adults swam to the deep parts of the creek which had it's flavor of romance, merriment, memories and...it's own dark history. Maybe that was why Thirus Creek was so special...so famous. The view of the lake was suddenly blotched out and Greg flinched annoyed at whoever was in his way. He glanced up at the young woman before him. Red auburn hair, dark doe eyes, lips the color of peach, slender, shorter then average height and she had a semi-tanned complexion. Her lips were in motion and he blinked again realizing she had been talking to him.
"Sorry?" he asked. She glared at him and he shrugged. "I zoned out for a while,"he told her.
"Nisha Hart,"she extended her hand which Greg shook still wearing his bored expression. He didn't give a cow's foot who she was, just as long as she got on her way and leave him at peace.
"Greg Stilts,"he told her and almost groaned out loud at her sudden curious look.
"Just who I was looking for,"she stated. ...(to be contd..)
